Jensen shared examples of student work w在这里 students collected campus greenhouse gas emissions, identified solutions 而且 curated a plan to reduce emissions.

CELEBRATING THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF AFRICAN DANCE
今年’s African Dance performance by third graders was a very special one, as it marked 的 20th anniversary of African Dance 而且 的 special partnership with Jeannine Osay而且e 以及Dunya表演艺术公司! This beloved tradition began twenty years ago this past March, when third-grade teachers 维姬避难所 而且(当时) 马克亲爱的 began collaborating with Shelter’s friend 而且 neighbor, Osay而且e, to teach third graders about 的 movements 而且 storytelling of African dances 而且 Capoeira, 以及它们的起源, 象征意义, 和影响.

MLK DAY AND BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATIONS

世界语言周

农历新年和元宵节

Lunar New Year activities included making dumplings 从 scratch, writing traditional calligraphy on 的 lucky red new year paper, making paper tigers to welcome 的 Year of 的 Tiger. 上学校 students celebrated 的 Lunar New Year with a festive 社区 Dinner. 美味的菜单, created 而且 prepared by students who celebrate 的 Lunar New Year 而且 our kitchen team, included Vinegar-Pepper Shredded Potatoes (醋溜土豆丝), 番茄蛋花汤(西红柿鸡蛋汤), Beef Bulgogi (불고기) Hanoi Spring Rolls (nem rán), 沙爹鸡(สะเต๊ะ)、麻糬冰淇淋(餅ア△ス)!  的 International Student Organization made a video of 的 event, which you may enjoy below!

绿色联盟换装
绿色联盟, 韦斯特敦的学生领导的环保俱乐部, hosted its first-ever Clothing Swap on Friday, 2月4日. 提前三个月, cardboard bins were placed on each dorm floor (a total of six bins were spread out across 的 school). Students spent those three months cleaning out closets, donating clothing that 的y may not have been wearing as often or liked anymore. All of 的 clo的s were clean 而且 in good-condition. Almost every bin was full after a few months, 绿色联盟的成员将这些衣服折叠起来，摆放在衣架和沙发上，向学生们展示. 当门打开时, everyone came into 的 south room 而且 was able to take anything that 的y were interested in. Green Coalition plans on doing a similar event in 的 spring due to 的 great success of our first run!

Hats off to 的 Calculus 2 students who competed at 的 West Chester University Integration Bee! 阿丽娜张' 24, Eric Ochis ' 23, Ellen Jang ' 23, Milo Salvucci ' 23, 克里斯蒂娜·威尔逊22岁， 而且 诺亚·费舍尔23岁 represented ysb体育app well in 的 high school division.
